White collar jobs not available, engages in skill acquisitions- NYSC DG tells youths

The Director General National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General MK Fadah has advised corps members to participate actively both during in-camp and post-camp Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development ( SAED ) training.

The Director- General gave e advice while addressing the 2022 Batch ‘C ‘Stream I Corps Members deployed to Borno  State at its Temporary Orientation Camp,  Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, College of Peace and Disaster Management, Babbar Ruga at Katsina State.

He said the skills will promote self-reliance and wealth creation as white-collar jobs are not readily available like in the past.

The Director-General also informed the corps members of his recent visit to Borno State and was highly impressed with the current level of Peace in the state. 

He, therefore, encouraged them not to panic as the Scheme is in active collaboration with all the Security Agencies to ensure their safety. 

MK Fadah also advised the Corps Members against unauthorized journeys and night trips, as such risky adventures portent great danger to their lives. In this regard,  he urged them to always take their security very seriously.

On the use of social media, the Director-General cautioned them against its negative use, but rather for self and national development.

As the 2023 General Election draws near and the Scheme is a  critical stakeholder, MK Fadah warned the corps members against any Electoral malpractice but urged them to play according to the rules and regulations guiding the electoral process.

In the end,  he charged them to obey camp rules and participate actively in all activities. 

The highlight of the visit was the inspection of camp facilities by the Director-General and the presentation of Gifts to various groups of Corps Members in the camp.
