Borno Presents Budget of #234b for 2023 appropriation bill

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has presented a budget proposal of 234.8Billion Naira for the 2023 Fiscal year which is 34 Billion Naira less than the Budgetary propossl for the 2022 Financial year.

The Ministry of Finance tops other Ministries with More than 30 Billion which is closely followed by the Ministry of Education with 30 Billion Naira, Ministry of Works 25Billion while Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement were appropriated over 19 Billion Naira each.

He urged the House of Assembly members to give a critical appraisal to the proposal and grant their approval in view of the need to continue with the task ahead of the state.

Governor Zulum also announced that he will soon open the Gwoza – Maiduguri and the Maiduguri- Damaturu routes for night journey since the security situations have greatly improved.

The Governor expressed the hope that his party the APC will be returned elected durind the 2023 General Elections so that he would continue with the good works which his administration started.

The Governor said that two new fly over bridges would be built from the 2023 budget.

The Governor said that both Kano road junction and western round about area of Maiduguri will each have a fly over to ease traffic flow which used to cause a lot of accidents at the T-junctions.

He said that two bypasses would be built from “Kano road to Gamboru road” while Muna garage’s axis would equally have a bypass crossing to the jam-packed Baga road leading to Tungushe and Baga.
