The National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC ) has sworn in 888 Corps Members of the 2023 Batch ‘A’ Stream I set deployed to Borno State for their one-year mandatory national service.

The Corps Members comprised 497 males and 391 females and are currently undergoing their orientation camp at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps , College of Peace and Disaster Management,Babbar- Ruga , Katsina.
The State Coordinator, Comrade Mohammed Adamu Jiya who presided over the ceremony, congratulated the Corps Members on their successful completion of their academic programmed which qualified them to be mobilised to the national service.

The State Coordinator urged them to avail themselves of the unique opportunity to participate actively in all camp activities.
He further admonished them to take the oath of allegiance administered on them seriously and be guided by all its provisions.
Jiya also cautioned them against indulging in cultism , drug abuse and all forms of social vices.
On the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme , he encouraged them to participate fully in all the training sessions so as to avail themselves on the opportunities provided by the programme.
The Oath of allegiance was administered by the representative of the Katsina State Chief Judge , Hon. Justice Aminu Tukur.
