The Presidential Candidate of All Progressive Congress(APC),Senator Bola Ahemd Tinubu has pledged to revamp the nation’s economy as well as tackle the lingering Boko Haram insurgency if elected as President in the forth coming election.
Tinubu pledged while addressing the mammoth crowd during the APC Campaign rally at the El Kanemi Warriors Sports Center Maiduguri, the Borno State capital on Saturday.
He said: ”I am just here to say thank you. “Mungode” This is your leader Senator Kashim Shettima. Success is back. I can guarantee you that we will do it. We will revamp Nigeria. We will win. We will be able to differentiate. God will take over.
You have suffered deprivations . Honestly we will take care of all of you. Your smile is back to you. Your happiness is here. APC Government is government of the people, for the people and by the people .
According to him, all issues and problems of Borno state will be addressed by his government if he is voted into power and gets the maximum support of Borno people.
The APC presidential candidate, further, appreciated Governor Babagana Zulum amongst other political stakeholders for their solidarity and unrelenting supports.
The political rally had in attendance various political stakeholders including – Governor Zulum, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state, Senator Kashim Shettima, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, APC National Chairman, Senator Abdulllahi Adamu, Chairman of APC State Governors’ Forum, Simon Lalong Borno APC State Chairman, Ali Bukat Dalori and others.
The National Chairman, (APC) Senator Abdullahi Adamu reiterated that his party will be victorious in next Saturday election, ”We will win this election. We have won elections in other places. We will definitely be elected. We have the capacity, trust and confident that we will win next Saturday. With us, election is over. APC will win all elections,” Adamu said.
Meanwhile, Tinubu as part of his campaign tour, paid homage to the Palace of the Shehu of Borno, His Eminence, Alhaji Abubakar Garba Ibn Umar El-kanemi.
The Shehu of Borno, however, called for improved security and the rehabilitation of federal roads, electricity , resuscitation of the Lake Chad Basin Authority, resumption oil exploration at the Lake Chad Basin and recruitment of the large number of unemployed youths among others.
