The troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have repelled an attack by the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists on the outskirts of the town of Borno State.
It was gathered that the terrorists stormed the town from the Sambisa axis through Yarimari Gana in the early morning on Monday, at about 0200 hours in an attempt to wreak havoc in the general areas.
It was revealed that one soldier paid the supreme prize in the attack.
According to Counter-Insurgency Expert, and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama gathered that the troops 21 of Armored Brigade Bana swiftly deployed to the scene where they engaged the terrorists at the back of the Bama IDPs camp forcing them to flee.
Recalled that troops 21-Armored Brigade, Bama, and 199 Special Forces Battalion in collaboration with Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), had between April 17 to 20th 2023, killed 35 terrorists and captured one Alhaji Baana after its destroyed 12 camps of the Boko Haram, located in Bama Local Government Area.
Meanwhile, ISWAP carried out another attack in another military outpost in Pulka.
One soldier paid the supreme price in the attack.
