The Management of National Youth Services Corp (NYSC) has charged the corp members deployed to Borno State for their one-year national service to participate actively in all camp activities during the ongoing orientation exercise.
The State Coordinator NYSC Comrade Mohammed Adamu Jiya made this call while delivering his welcome address during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2023 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Corps held at the Borno State temporary Orientation Camp Babbar-Ruga, Katsina State on Sunday.

According to him, he informed the Corps Members that the orientation course is the first cardinal programme of the NYSC Scheme that is put in place to prepare them adequately for the task of national service.
He urged the corps members to be actively involved in all the articulated programmes and activities of the orientation exercise.
Comrade Jiya admonished them to maintain a high level of discipline and self-control by shunning all forms of social vices and negative use of social media.
He then assured them that he would do his best to make their stay in camp a memorable one as their welfare and security are his top priorities.

Our Correspondent reports that a total of 838 Corps members which comprises 422 males and 416 females deployed to Borno State were administered the oath of allegiance during the ceremony by the representative of the Katsina State Chief Judge, Justice Kabir Shu’aibu.
